You can buy and sell your clothing secondhand, and any items that are not up to par with thredUP’s standard of selling are donated or recycled. ThredUP is a sort of online thrift store. I decided to do something about it, and that’s where thredUp comes in. That includes clothing, and I have so many “just in case” or “what if” outfits that never get worn. I am a bit of a hoarder… not in a all-the-newspapers-since-1967 but rather I keep everything just in case. I know you guys are probably swamped but it's heartening to see the listings and photos were of quality.To use or not to use? Recently I’ve become interested (obsessed?) with minimizing the clutter in my life. Thank you to the TU employees who took the pictures and handled the processing. I know there's many negative experiences people have and share on here, but I felt it was important to share a more neutral review or maybe even encourage someone else who was still waiting. I would love to hear anyone else's thoughts or experiences with this crazy company. If anyone has any tips for selling in the future (oh man I wish I had made a spreadsheet before sending stuff in) I also wish I had been aware of how big a difference using the site on a browser versus a mobile device was. I'm still quite disappointed with the customer support, and very much would advise anyone not to part with anything they weren't at least sort of okay with it getting misplaced.Īfter all this, I think I might send stuff in with them again, but next time I think I will try a partner kit since it sounds like those are processed much much faster. I can't really remember at this point exactly what I sent in the 'good box' my best items made the cut. I wish there was much more transparency in the process and as sellers we had full access to reasons items were not accepted. There were 15 items total that made the cut and the potential payout was about what I was hoping for. To my enormous relief everything looks as it did when I sent it in and it was photographed nicely. I had a 'good box' with some more high end stuff and return assurance and a 'whatever' box that had a few mid-level things and some never used baby clothes that I wouldn't have had a problem taking to Good Will. It seems like they were only finally posted within the last couple days. Maybe 20 items in total? sent my two kits around late June and July, but they weren't processed until about a month after. I'm just a casual customer that had a few nice things I wasn't going to use any more. I wanted to post because I had been quite anxious as to whether my Cleanout kit would be processed or not or whether there was the possibility it got lost in warehouse limbo, especially since Customer Support is so non-existant. And much to my pleasant surprise my stuff was finally listed! Then I remembered! Was it ThredUp? I had optioned to have to me returned what didn't sell in one of my kits. I only realized this because I got a text from FedEx saying I was getting something, which was odd because I hadn't ordered anything. I would love to hear if anyone has advice for selling in the future or experiences with selling as of late. My kits that were recieved in late August finally got listed a couple days ago.
